My New Year resolutions!

Ahh... Here comes the time where people settle down in their seats and think about their resolutions for the new year.

Well, I think mine seems like a good list of resolutions as any. *Gets comfy on the bed* Right, here goes:

Get a nice, stable job(s). As long as I can get a new job soonafter, it won't matter if its not a permanent position.

Not gain anymore weight. Or preferably,

Lose weight and shape up. (though it feels like a lost cause)

Pamper myself with all the things I never dared to splurge on.

Try to get along better with my mum.

Be less MIA with my old friends.

Try to overcome my inferiority complex.

Start actual plannings for my overseas dream.

Learn to control my temper better.

Clean my pig sty of a room.

Stop them from treating my room like a spare storeroom once I've cleared the space.

Um... Stop biting my fingernails?

Lol... One can only hope to accomplish their resolutions. May you guys have a wonderful New Year Countdown later! *Kisses and hugs for all*

A question!

Anybody knows about Trexi? To be specific, the Coca Cola Trexi figure?

I only have the Trexi figure; No box, no card. I redeemed it with the Venom figurine receipt at Cineshop. All I've been told by people, is that its rare, yadda yadda.

I need to know the price of it in Singapore because I wanna sell it. This is the only site I could find that has a price. I'm not sure if it would be accurate if I convert the amount into SGD.

Your help will be genuinely appreciated! ;)

=)

Sigh. In about 26 hours' time, Mel's official RP duties will commence.

I'll never be able to spend the nights at his place anymore, since his schedule is the likes of "work 2 days, off 1 day". When he books out, it would be in the afternoon, and he would have to book in at about 7-8am the next day.

There goes our time together. It sucks that we have to go through more stumbling blocks when we've already made it through for 3years plus now. I have a foreboding feeling about this.

Sigh.

Anyway, my VCD was found, but unfortunately, not my magnets :( Oh well. At least I'll get to watch it again sometime next year(heh).

Had dinner at Sakae Sushi at Lot 1 earlier in the evening. Seriously, I think Mel and I are getting too accustomed to eating out.

Within the short span of 2 weeks, we've already dined at Sakae's for 4 times, and we also ate at Billy Bombers, Fiesta, Bistro Delifrance, etc. We ate out almost every night, and we did not step into a hawker centre at all. We surfeited, and spent a rather staggering $400+ on food alone.

What with our pococurante demeanour towards buying stuff that we don't actually need, we now have a big, nice hole in our pockets. @_@"

Nonetheless, I'm eyeing a Samsung Mp4 player on Yahoo Auctions right now, but the price's ridiculously cheap($150 for a 20gb one!) and my bid had not met his reserve price, so I can only cross my fingers. 'Sides, I only intend to bid up to $200. *Scrunches up nose*

Afterall, the new year is coming. Buying DVDs for myself for Christmas, and a Mp3/Mp4 player for the new year, what's wrong with that?

Chinese New Year, please come soon!!!

Huh.

Fuck, I'm so pissed right now. Mel lent my Initial D VCD to Bong a couple of months ago, and he assured me that Bong won't lend it to someone else.

2 weeks ago, I asked Bong for my VCD, and he told me he lent it to Deron. Without asking me, treating the VCD was his.

And Deron lent it to his platoon mates and didn't know where it was. I purposely sms-ed him before his ORD date, but he did not reply. Now he'd ORD-ed. No chance of getting it back now.

ZZZ!

And it's not as if either one would claim responsibility for losing my stuff and buy 1 back for me. *Grumbles*

Fuck lor. I'd barely bought the VCD for a few days, and it had a pretty metal case with magnets inside. I've been dying to watch it :( It's not just about the money; it's about the credibility of borrowing and returning.

Just like the money Derek and Elaine owe Melvin till now. A hefty $1000+ by both of them. Elaine just keep saying she doesn't have money, and Derek had the guts to join us for Xmas countdown like he didn't still owe us $600.

I nagged Melvin to ask him for the money, but he said, "Aiya, nevermind la, I'll ask next time, let's not spoil the Christmas mood." AS IF! We barely talked to Derek and his friends anyway. They just kept standing behind us or walking around.

GAHHHH, MEN AND THEIR EGO! *Pulls out her hair*

Sigh. Anyway, back to the main subject for this post - I just woke up from a pretty weird dream.

I dreamt that Mel had already shifted into the new house, and we were retiring for the night. It was snowing, so I had to make sure the windows above our head were locked shut.

Somehow, I managed to dilly-dally till daybreak, and an unfamiliar face woke up beside us(No, it was not an orgy or threesome. The girl felt like a younger sibling.) and saw that everything outside was covered in snow, and when she opened 1 window to get a better view, a dragonfly flew in.

Naturally, my first reaction was to cry out as I landed on the floor in a ball, covering my face and waving my hand about, trying to make the dragonfly go away. Yes, that's how I am in real life. I'm terrified of bugs.

And then somehow, a cockroach came, and the strange notion of the cockroach eating/beating the dragonfly came into mind. I then saw the dragonfly beating the cockroach in a series of impressive air attacks, and I took off running.

Within steps, I found different bugs crawling across my trail towards the stairs. I tried to go down the stairs, but there were spiders, funny bugs, and cockroaches obstructing only my intended path.

I woke my boyfriend aka the brave bugkiller and he proceeded to beat a trail of dead bugs for me lol. I followed behind him, and we ended up in a shopping mall or something, and I saw all the fast food restaurants having new products on their menu.

KFC had a chicken burger with a huge patty while having a slit down the middle. MacDonald's had new rice products - A square of rice with curry filling inside, a chicken rice set with the skin wrapped around the rice and had chicken filling inside, and 1 with kaya filling too.

Right after I told Mel that we should go try them, I woke up from the dream despite having slept for only 1 hour, and started to munch on my tidbits.

*Crunches on her tapioca snacks wistfully* This is the first time my body actually reacted to my dreams - I was hungry, thus dreaming about food, and my body awoke me to make me eat.

Huh.

Testing.

Everyone seems to have an account with Technorati, and even tho I'm still not clear about what it does (heh), I'll just get it out of the way, aye?

Technorati Profile

*Yawns*

Finally, Christmas and Boxing Day are over, so it's time to change my blog song.

I really want to celebrate New Year's countdown at MOS or with my friends, but I kinda promised my niece I'll go over to their place =P. Besides, I don't want to think about the queue for entrance to MOS that day.

For the Xmas Eve party, I'd managed to cut into the middle of the queue due to John's friends, but I still waited for 35mins. I shudder to think about New Year's Eve.

With the horrendous amount of time to be spent on queueing in mind, junk food and fast food and DVD marathon with my close relatives is making me ebullient :D.

Anybody want to go, tho? =X Maybe not on the 31st, but do gimme or call or a message online whenever you feel like going to Ministry of Sound.

I don't love you as if you were the salt-rose, topaz
or arrow of carnations that propagate fire:
I love you as certain dark things are loved,
secretly, between the shadow and the soul.

I love you as the plant that doesn't bloom and carries
hidden within itself the light of those flowers,
and thanks to your love, darkly in my body
lives the dense fragrance that rises from the earth.

I love you without knowing how, or when, or from where,
I love you simply, without problems or pride:
I love you in this way because I don't know any other way of loving

but this, in which there is no I or you,
so intimate that your hand upon my chest is my hand,
so intimate that when I fall asleep it is your eyes that close.

Merry Christmas!!!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

Lol, the first song that came into mind when I wanted to change it for Christmas, was this one by Blink 182 ;D

I just got home from the Xmas Eve party at MOS and supper @ Hong Kong Cafe in Siglap. Yummy food, by the way.

And I think I'm in love with Ministry of Sound.

I mean, seriously, I've clubbed for almost 5 years, and while Sparks holds a special spot in my heart for being the 1st disco I went to, and 1 that I visited regularly for 2years+, MOS simply rocked.

The place's gorgeous. My words won't do justice to it unless you see it for yourself. I mean, seriously, I can spend hours in their washrooms and comfy chairs! I'm sure that if I go with my girlfriends, and we can't find seats, we'll be sitting on the red cushy stools painting our faces(=P) and chit-chatting.

Then again, maybe not. There's no way I would give up the chance to ogle the cute Ang Mohs there. Most of the angmohs I saw tonight were soooo cute!!! *Swoons like an airhead*

I LOVE the R&B room. Too bad it's a little small, but the Eurodance area is great. It looks like the cosier and more atmospheric upgrade version of the old Zouk(I haven't been to the renovated one yet).

I wasted my time videocam-ing a guy who thought he was John Travolta not, and my batt ran out before I could record down the countdown ;(

You should have seen the queue when we reached at 9.30pm. If I'm not wrong, the queue was about 1km+, but fortunately, we have friends who queued since 8pm and we cut into the middle xD

The Clarke Quay carpark right next to MOS was half-filled with Mercedes and BMWs as if they were the regular Nissan Sunny or Toyota Corolla. But you should have seen the yellow Lamborghini Murcielago, silver Maserati, silver Porsche family car and silver Benzley on the other side.

I mean, WAH LAO, it was my first time seeing a Maserati in real life! And the Lambor was so shiny, I could see the engine clearly and possibly my reflection.

Ahh, what I wouldn't give to live a wealthy life...

Mehh.... I've only had 3 hours of sleep because I was worried I'll oversleep today.

I've gotten the $100 postal order, ready to contact the seller and everything. Wee!

I feel so hyper right now, don't rightly know why. Not as if I took too much sugar; All I had was a cup of Bandung! I guess I'm just running on adrenaline that it's Xmas Eve, then.

I'm not big on celebrating the birth of someone I don't believe in, but the holidays spirit always gets to me. I'm going to West Mall later to get some last minute Christmas presents for Mel's family, since half of them are Christians, and I've already gotten a present from his 3rd Aunt.

It's the 3rd Christmas present I've received from her, and its bloody time I reciprocate before the guilt's too much.

I wonder if anybody will ask me out tomorrow... :D

Happy Christmas Eve sweetcheeks!

Just came back from watching The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe.

King Kong last Sunday was great. The 1v3 T-Rex scene... AWESOME. Especially when King Kong snapped the T-Rex's jaws and tauntingly flapped them.

Even tho I still have fuzzy memories about watching the old King Kong movie where the gorilla swung around on top of the Empire State building hitting airplanes, and then die, it didn't stop half the theatre's women and me leaving with wet eyes.

Narnia's bloody brilliant too. It struck me that 2 great fantasy movies - Harry Potter and Narnia's main characters are British. Seeing Lucy sitting with Thomson the faun, sipping her tea like a demure little lady, simply tickled me. The movie's like a fightier but not bloody(forgive my slaughter of the language) version of Harry Potter filled with mystical animals.

Decided to treat myself to getting the Season 1-5 DVDs of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, off a Malaysian seller on Ebay. Haveta be at a post office bright and early later, to purchase a postal order. Bleah. I really need to adjust my body clock.

In case I get too lazy to update on Christmas itself,

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, ducks! Enjoy the holidays! ;)

0_o

My newest "hobby" of late is burning all the movies I'd downloaded into DVDs and having fun personalizing them. Weird, I know.

Anyway, watched The Promise on Thursday, and I'm going out to watch King Kong later.

Narnia next week! Woohoo!

The Promise was... nice. I absolutely loved the colour visuals, and the time period of which man and gods co-existed together.

I guess it's another of those artistic films where the director tries to portray certain meanings to us, with each character assuming a specific role that depicts of current society. I'm not gonna act all smart-like and say I fully understood the show, but I shall think I understand enough.

Only thing is, I'm still not sure if the last few scenes of Nicholas Tse was overacting or not. He was clearly displaying some sort of phobia/psychological disorder that I'm too lazy to google for, but the entire theatre laughed when he started crying. Lmao.

It was entertaining to see Nicholas acting abit like a gay, but I found the scene where Cecilia was flown like a kite absolutely lame.

Totally loved Hinoyuki Sanada tho; He was my favourite guy in The Last Samurai. He's just so man, and possesses great acting skills. *Swoons*

But he's not as man or possess sex appeal like James Marsters, of course. Never!

Anyway, I've decided to share some of my favourite songs to be played on my blog. They're mostly kinda loud, so if you hate em, you can always click the Stop button.

However, if your taste is as good as mine *winks*, you'll prolly enjoy them. Lyrics and song titles will be in the "etc" section.

Oh, look at the time. Time to move off to Cineleisure. 'Ta, ducks.

:O!

Friday was fun! I got to catch up with my buds whom I haven't seem in eons, okay, maybe just 1-2years, but it'd been so long!

I'm gonna post some of the pictures I took since I was the designated photographer a.k.a the only one with a digicam, and let my fair warning be known that you're gonna see a very ugly sight in some of them.

So anyway, Thursday was Deron's 21st birthday, and he held his celebration at Music Underground on Friday.

Alright, here's some of the photos, they look real grainy because of the pic size.

The birthday boy! Happy 21st birthday again, Deron!

Here's 2 of my fav buds that I'd gotten to know through Deron 4 years ago:

Ang, me, and Bel(vis)!

Me and whom I consider the Energiser Monkey, Jacob. Lol

My favourite people from my old clique! Belvis, Deron, me and Ang hehe. It felt like we had met up just recently before, instead of years.

The bunch of mad dicks lol. Ang, Chuan, Ken, Bel, "Tok", Deron, Jacob, etc etc~

Somehow, they'd managed to keep me laughing the entire night, even those whom I just met for the first time.

I'm really glad I still have these friends :D

Please don't treat me like a child.

I may have been lost for a while; I may stumble here and there in my path towards full-blown adulthood, but I'm already on my way.

Please do not stand in my path by treating me like the child I am not anymore.

I don't want your condescending tones,
Nor do I need your needless reprimands.

Will my respect be ever reciprocated?
Will I ever gain your trust?

In the tenebrous sky, moon's hanging low.
I can hear the trees' sempiternal murmurs--
Their moans mixing with my whimpers.

The cold, ruthless wind rumpled my raven tress.
Swirling maelstrom in my eyes,
Lassitude evident.

Have you noticed that about me,
Or do you feel nothing but schadenfreude,
for the onus I've became?

The broken old soul in me buzzes
With discontentment;

For I am now but a lambent shadow of myself.

Still, an ingenue lies
Deep inside me.
Relentlessly looking for that anodyne to

Sooth my resentful aberrant mind.

My joys evanescent,
I long for a day where
I can spread my unfledged wings, and
Dance under the moonlight,

Effulgent.

(Andrew Wyeth's Christina's World.)

The poem's "fresh out of the oven" for 5 minutes; I have yet to name it. I'm an amateur, hence the lousy paragraphing and the weird mixture of styles.

Honest comments will be very appreciated.

Good bye.

Good bye, Nguyen Toung Van.

I'm relieved that the Singapore government stood her ground, but the death of a human being doesn't elates or sits well with me.

May you find peace in Heaven, or, have a better life in your next reincarnation.

No more be grieved at which thou hast done:
Roses have thorns, and silver fountains mud;
Clouds and eclipes stain both moon and sun'
And loathsome lives in sweetest bud.
All men make faults, and even I in this,
Authorizing thy trespass compare,
Myself corrupting, salving thy amiss,
Excusing thy sins more than thy sins are:
For to thy sensual fault I bring sense
(Thy adverse party is thy advocate)
And 'gainst myself a lawful plea commence;
Such civil war is in my love and hate
That I an accessary needs must be
To that sweet thief which sourly robs from me.

ARGH!!!!

Is it wrong to say my sis-in-law is fucking dumb and irritating? Can I?

Heck,

MY SIS-IN-LAW IS A BLOODY DUMB FUCK!

All because my maid of 4 years decided to get a HP and a life, aka chatting with her friends in SG over the phone, she got all worried and went to remove the phone plug from my room, and FUCKING CHANGED MY HOME NUMBER OF 6 YEARS!

The number was nice too, 6456, and ends with the last 4 numbers of my door.

Fuck. And she didn't tell us until she changed it, too.

She said, "We change number lah, so whoever she was talking to, won't have the new number anymore. Let's not tell the maid we changed numbers too."

WTF? HOW DUMB CAN SHE GET?

She better be the one who's calling all the companies and whatsnot, to notify our change of home number. If she asks me to do it, I swear to God, I'll bash her face in. I've had just about enough of her stupid actions.

Argh, she's driving me towards more nicotine addiction.
