*Gasp* I'd just realised I have no one to tag!

I'm just a lonely little thing...

*Squats in one corner and draws circles on the floor, spouting random lines from poems. "Deep as love, deep as first love, and wild... Wild..." *Whimpers* "Lo--Loneliness... Maker of the soul... Il..Illuminate...*

Bugger this...

Mel is down with fever this couple of days, and I went to take care of him last night even though I was feeling sickish myself.

Now I caught his fever. *Brr* I'm coldddd.

Bugger this... I hate being sick near the weekends. In fact, the general feeling of weakness makes me want to spend lots of money on Ebay. (Fine fine, lousy excuse, I know. But then, its not as if I need an excuse to shop!)

I should be going off from work a few hours earlier today, to rest, and I guess, let Mel be the one taking care of me for once. Which girl doesn't like to be pampered once in awhile?

Valentine's coming up. Anybody bought me a present? =P I'm still unsure of what I should get for him, but I think the Japanese restaurant at Starhub building is calling us lol. Which reminds me, we prolly have to make reservations. Bleah.

I wanna sleep and sleep and sleep my weekend away, but time is too precious to me now to spend it on sleep. *Stares at her own dark eyebags and sallow features and hesitates*

Yep... Sleep is the last thing I need now.

Quiz day?

Sigh... It's only 1pm on a Tuesday... Sucks. I hope time will pass faster today; I'm so freakin' shagged out!

Who Are You When Nobody Is Looking?
brought to you by Quizilla

HASH(0x8bf6390)

You are a princess who longs for escape. You'd like
to break away from all of the rules, and
follow your own path. Scared of being alone
though, you stay with your friends. You
attempt at any freewill you can get. You hide
your reflection in your eyes, and in your smile.

What were YOU in your past life? (pictures, detailed results, everyone can take it)
brought to you by Quizilla

You were a protector in your past life. Making sure peace and happiness were always present, you actually enjoyed your job.

Protector: You protected people with your life. But most of all, you protected your lover. Love was what kept you going. But you died in battle, doing your duty.

Protectess: You loved the fact that people needed you, so you kept on protecting them. You knew you had to, for it was for your love. You died in battle, but you kept your honour.

Flower:Poppy
Colour:Blood Red
Instrument:Piano
Element:Magic
Weapon:Scyth

What might your wedding dress look like?

You chose the beautiful and mysterious black and white gown. You might be a dark or artsy person, and you'd want your wedding dress to be different, just like you. This is one of my favorite dresses, so I hope you enjoy it, as well.

GRR.

Gawd, I'm so freaking pissed. This is my worst day of 2006 so far.

I had a bad start since yesterday; Went to River AngBao with Mel and his family, but I did not manage to snap even 1 photo of us without me looking like the reincarnation of Zhu Ba Jie. Seriously, my face was damn round in the pics.

And my nose! I swear, when I've earned enough money in the future, the first thing I'll do is change my nose. Then my chest. Then my figure. Grr.

Bah, enough of my incessant drivel. Anyway, I slept late last night, thus ending up late for working, and feeling all lethargic-like. I had to call a cab to work, and spent 1/2 my day worth of pay on the fare. Bleah!

I didn't even get to gel my hair! Now I look like the female version of Lion King.

I had intended to steal some shut-eye during lunch time, but when I reached my workplace, I was told that 1 of my timesheets did not have the company chop, so I had to get it stamped and bring the copy to the agency later during lunch time.

ARGH!!!

My life sucks :( I wish I did not perm my hair. I wish I'd gotten a job after CNY. Sigh. Off to the agency now. Cya guys.

Bloody hell...

I had a 30+ year old foreigner(no, =( not Caucasian...) who came up to me when I was about to enter Orchard MRT station after shopping.

"Hi, er, ha ha ha, hi. You look, er, ha ha, alot like my friend *more awkward laughing*. Don't be shocked, it's just, er, ha ha, you really look like my friend. My name is Edward, ha, what is your name?"

Okay, so maybe there weren't so many "ha ha"s but that his embarassed/awkward laughters was the only thing I remembered vividly.

Right, I look alot like your friend. More like the high slit in my skirt and the flattering top that showed abit of my cleavage had reminded you of your friend, innit?

Men.

I seriously wonder what kind of people read my blog nowadays. I mean, yea, there's friends, but soddin' hell, who the hell in their right mind would wank to my pics?

I was considering taking out the option that barrs people from right-clicking on my blog, but I'd rather think not now.

I'm not really a stuck up tight ass or something, because, right man, right words? -- Yea, bring it on. But some men just make me sick.

Bleah. Anyway, I went to Orchard to check out the other Absolute Comics shop in Lucky Plaza. So when I was on the way back, I saw the Chin Jia Gay Festival.

Oops, I mean Chingay. I'm not sure if it was the final rehearsal, or before it started, but all I saw was the fancy cars parked there and the people practising their moves.

So many animal-themed cars... But I didn't see a dog-themed one. What's up with that?

Run-of-the-mill lotus kids and butterflies/flowery people.

I know the last picture was too blurry -- I tried to take a pic of the sexy violin-playing ladies in shiny clothes for you guys, but I couldn't hold my digicam still enough for night-mode. My apologies :P.

I never had an avid interest in Chingay before, but I think it's more or less the same every year. They have your flowery-dressed people, hip-hop wannabes, cute guys, cute girls, people dressed as cavemen, as cheerleaders... No wait, the cheerleaders were real ones; They were apparently some JC kids.

I was in the midst of taking a good shot of the cheerleaders for you guys to drool over, when my digicam's batt went dead on me again. Yea, I seldom charge it, so sue me!

Anyway, I'm recently hooked onto
point 'n' click games again. I found this flash that's rather interesting; The Doo Wop Horses. If you are tone-deaf and has no sense of rhythm, you would find the "music" generated awful. To me, it's kinda cute.

Just a helpful hint: Click the horses from left to right, and wait till the horse finish 1 part of a verse before clicking on the next one. Or you can just jumble it up as you wish =)

Ooh, you touch my tralala~!

Hehe, yes, I'm in quite a good mood. Lookie what I bought at Absolute Comics and China Square today!

Yep, 5 Buffy the Vampire Slayer comics with Spike in them, or at least on the cover page, 1 white Kinokuniya Trexi, and a Buffy figurine.

They cost me $100, meaning I'd totally splashed the ang bao money that Mel's parents gave me, but what the heck! I'm one happy woman.

*Sighs and thinks about James Marsters*

Here's what Mel bought, which cost a whoppin' $400+:

My legs would have been shaking if I spent more than $300+ on one item, which was what he did with the Black Spiderman above. *Shivers*

So anyway, here's a few pictures I took on CNY. I forgot to take some of my relatives, so there's very little quantity.

The reunion dinner...

Yum, huh? ^^

I started off the first day of the Chinese New Year in a new, red top of course... I'd wanted to add my lil niece's tiara to the essemble, but eventually found it silly lol. Whaddaya think?

Even tho the crowd at my house this year was significantly lesser, my room was still "command" centre, or the "sleeping class" as Eileen quipped.

No Jasmine, in case you ask, I won't take this pic off. LOL.

Went to puat kiao, aka gamble on the 2nd day with my friends, and I chose to wear my new tube top/shirt with this essemble. Bong said I looked like those angmohs from the 50's or 60's. What the hell...

Okay, so maybe I looked too much like an Auntie wearing that. Bleah...

Anyway, all in all, I had an adequately happy new year; My total angbao money was more than last year's =P, gamble loss was only $30, but with such an expensive hobby(collecting figurines and collectibles from overseas), my money are as good as gone.

Haveta work tomorrow... *Scrunches up nose and rolls on the floor like a child* I don't wanna!

Hehehehehe.

Happy Chinese New Year again, guys.

I just woke up feeling refreshed, as if I'd slept for 10 hours instead of 4.

Must have been something to do with the fact that I dreamt about Wang Lee Hom, in which we got to know each other in my dream and we got together because we liked each other on first sight :X

There was sweet hand/pinky fingers holding, shy smiles, movie-watching, and... *giggles* Right, let's not get into that, aye?

I took off from work today. Shh! It should be a great week for me then, having only to work on Thursday and Friday.

Would be going to the Absolute Comics shop at Parco Bugis later on to get that Spike and Buffy figurines, and make use of the last day of my long holiday.

Have a great day, people :)

Have a happy lunar new year, my friends.

I'm not in the mood for plentiful happy wishes and a pretentious entry of how I'm looking forward to CNY; I've lost most modicum of joy I can generate right now.

I will not delve into the pain and worthlessness of JenxGeR, since it seems to happen every alternate day.

May you guys have a happy year ahead. Yes, just be happy. Break free of the drudgery call life and/or society.

Take a chance and step free from the fixed path; You'll never know what's waiting around the corner.

Find peace within yourself.

Be courageous.

Be happy.

Be free.

Be anything but me.

Have yourself a Happy Chinese New Year :)

-- Update --

I'm feeling better already... Sorry for the sour post. So anyway, Mel and I found our haven in a corner shop of Bugis Junction, called Absolute Comics. We're certainly going there with our New Year "earnings", providing we don't gamble most of them off lol...

Sigh.

Rudolf Hayo Spaan.

I've found out the name of Mr. Suspenders through an internal mail :D Rather unique name, innit?

The first googled result came back as this:

Full Name : Rudolf Hayo Spaan
Title : Principal Officer
Company : AMERICAN HOME ASSURANCE CO
Company Category : General Insurer

Boo, doesn't seem to have much info on him.

Anyway, I didn't quite manage to go on my pre-CNY alternate diet of daily vegatables/fruits only, for I am merely mortal. Nevertheless, I'm starting to eat more healthily and moderately, and for that I'm happy ^^.

Alright, lunch time's over, time to get back to work!

- Mastering the common art of Eating Snake in progress -

Some of us bought a dream earlier on; My colleagues and I contributed $10 each to buy lottery tickets lol. Wish us luck!

Gonna watch Fearless later at Cineleisure after work, it should be a joy to watch :)

Take care guys~

Ha haha HaHa Ha! *Mandark's laugh*

I took the PC with internet this time! Ha haha HaHa Ha! *mimicks Mandark's laughter*

Okay, so maybe that was a little unneccessary, as it sounds like "nya nya ni nya nya!" but I found that I don't really care.

The following entry has been edited due to discretion.

Sometimes I feel that I'm too honest a worker, because when I say I slack off, the total amount of time I usually spend in doing that is about 15 minutes only >_>.

Pretty much just the time taken to enter this blog entry, I reckon. Bleah. Not to mention that I can type "S'pore Workmen's Compensation + British Public Liab-Occurrence" in 5 seconds flat.

I've perfected my JenxGeR's style of multi-tasking™. It is time for me to master the common art of Eating Snake.

Not that I'm unhappy working here(in fact, it's the opposite), but I can do without an agency as a medium ergo more pay. So does anybody's company need a permanent staff? I don't ask for much, just acceptable pay and normal benefits. Tag me! =P

SQUEEE!!!!

*Dances around on tippy toes*

SIGH ~

I'm on cloud nine, people... Why, you ask? *Shakes head wistfully* Hah, ignorant people!

MR. SUSPENDERS SMILED AT ME FOR THE PAST 2 DAYS!

SQUEE !!!

:) Now you see why, huh? I was talking to Chris, the receptionist yesterday and was about to go up the stairs when Mr. Suspenders aka our boss walked by and beamed, saying Hi, good afternoon to ME!

ME !

Okay, so maybe I was stunned, and processed saying good morning thru my head instead of good afternoon, ergo ended up not replying and gave a shy smile instead.

So maybe I did the same thing when we bumped into each other on the stairs today... But I added a nod this time.

The next time, I'll greet him by his name. I'll be sure of it!

As usual, seeing him upclose and smiling at me had put me in a state of euphoria, drooling at the desk, giggling like a school girl and smiling like a barmy chit for the rest of the day, but it was damn worth it! Heh.

Anyway, it's just a small crush thing because I find him cute. I'm not about to go into his office and tear off his clothes or something. Nuh uh!

It's nothing serious like the bordering-on-psychotic infactuation and undying love for James Marsters. *Gives a serious nod*

Please, let me be that lollipop! PLEASE!

You slimy mortals, bow at the altar of God James Marsters!

Ooh, its finally the weekend!

Bleah, its Saturday so soon. I practically slept my Friday night away once I got back from work yesterday.

So anyway, if you work in an office, you'll understand what I mean: You'll develop a certain rhythm while dealing with your piles of monotonous documents, right?

Yesterday afternoon, I was jutted out of my rhythm when I was told to edit some documents. I mean, I usually do my work like superman on speed, because there's simply too much, and I don't like to constantly leave work for the next day.

I edited and printed out the documents thrice before I'd eventually got it right. Just as I was about to sort thru them, I took a good look at my desk.

Lol. There were still 2 stacks that were out of frame. Sigh, all the bloody paperworks! If I were to pile them together, they'll get even more confusing, but scattering them around had made me so soddin' frustrated!

Grr argh~!

I had the overwhelming urge then, to grab my lighter + the girl who's constantly slacking off and blogging, set her and the papers all on fire, all the while screaming,

BURN

MOTHERFUCKER,

BURN!!!

Sigh. Anyway, remember my Suspenders>Belts post a few days ago? Here's a blur picture of my angmoh boss who I've affectionately dubbed, Mr. Suspenders!

Hehe. Anyway, I went to Clementi marketplace for dinner last night, and guess who I saw?

Alvin, my good NPCC friend from school! He's running his own Tiong Bahru roasted pig stall, ya know! While the rest of the squadmates are prolly working/studying/slacking, he's earning 4-5k per month, and bought his own car a couple of years ago.

>_>~ And his roasted duck is yummy too :D~

Heh, alright, I think I gotta go. Supposed to meet some guy up at Suntec for Mel's AVP figurines, and not to forget my CNY clothings... Bleah, LAZY!

Wednesday, January 18, 2006

I got my postal order back!

Remember last month when I said I'd decided to treat myself to some Buffy DVDs? I strongly suspected that the Malaysian guy was trying to scam me, so I request at Singpost, for my $100 postal order to be sent back to me.

Mel was right; It's better to lose a rating, than to lose money. It arrived yesterday and I went to Orchard to refund it after work today :D.

Eh, where's the other $50?

Oh...

Spent on "wu eh bo eh" again... =X I had thought of spending the money on some new year clothes, but when I looked in the mirror at my figure, I just couldn't get the mood together.

I can't wait for CNY to arrive... I reckon I've spent more than what I would get at the end of the month.

So anyway, I came home earlier on to discover this abomination after flopping onto my bed:

Chelsea, YECH!

And yes, I've not cleaned up my room yet. It looks horrible, just horrible.

In fact, lookie this:

Lmao.

My spirit grows heavy and I wonder at times
What keeps it from floating up high
The hatred of people that I might have crossed
Or the gravity of our desires
It's hell either way calling St. Expedite
Hell either way calling St. Expedite
It's hell either way calling St. Expedite
Well it's hell either way calling St. Expedite

BLEAH...

I just wanna mentioned that belts are so pwned by suspenders before I delve into my topic of the day.

Suspenders > Belts.

Okay, done :D
.
.
.

I've been a bad, bad girl...

It's workday, but I came to Mel's to stay over. *Shakes head at herself* Should have realised it was a bad idea.

I woke up at like 6.45am, determined to get out of his house by 7am so I can go catch bus 77 into town. The trip itself should take 45mins on it own, and with the morning traffic, I would need about 75-90mins to reach Somerset, I think.

Which is why I'm now stuck at his place now, in a dilemma.

I'm all dressed up, hair's gelled, mosturised and clipped, and yet I don't really feel like going to work. (Omg, playing hooky at the end of my first week! Lol)

The main reason is that I don't wanna take a cab... I had scrumptious but expensive fish & chips from The Book Cafe yesterday, and I've spending almost vivaciously because of my new year's resolution. (And that's to make myself very, very happy this year, remember?)

If I'm late, I'll still need to take a cab when I reach Somerset Mrt station. Plus my ez-link ran out of money. BLEAH!

Sigh... I kinda intend to call in and give them a lame reason that I have to come in for half day's work in the afternoon, but I forgot to get the extension number of my colleagues.

And that I really hope to see the angmoh superior in his suspenders or 3 piece suit once more before the weekend comes. He's not handsome, you know, not the way like James Marsters, but his suspenders made him look so sexy... *Palms cheek and swoons*

Damn, if only I have a camera phone; It would be so much easier to take a photo surreptitiously than to whip out my digicam!

To work half a day, or not to work? That's the question. (Yes, I've defamed Shakespeare. So sue me.)

Should I stay or should I go. (For you musical imbeciles out there, its a song by The Clash.)

My mood right now...

Guess him correctly and you'll get a kissie from me!

Two words.

Maggi mee.

From a perfectly normal-looking girl with normal, if not, nice hair...

See? Don't I look just like one of the hundred thousands of young women in Singapore?

Nooo.... Jen Jen has to want to change her hairstyle. She wanted to upgrade.

"I want those wavy hair that most matured OLs have!"

I had my dubiety about going to the saloon my mum always patronise, because I think I had a bad dye job there once even tho the rebonding was cheap and lasting.

But emphasize on the cheap - Regular's discount led to only $90+ for the perming, trimming, highlighting, sculpting lotion and mosturizer. I can hardly argue with that.

This is the result of reading the magazine and not paying attention to the auntie who is cutting and perming your hair:

"Aiya, nice la. Mai hiao liao lar(don't be vain)". My ignorant mother chimed in.

Nice? NICE? NICE?!

I DID wanted a new look for CNY, but my hair ended up shorter by 4-5 inches(without asking!) and I look like a maggi mee head.

YOU TELL ME

NICE?!

"Gu gu(Aunt), you look like King Kong, I look like Chicken Little!"

ROAR!!!!!!!

My eyes are constantly watery; The dams are threatening to break through. I'm trying my best to not glance at the mirror and preoccupy myself as much as possible.

Sigh. It prolly wouldn't have been so bad if she had not cut off so much of my hair. The next time I want to do something to my hair, someone hit me with a mallet and stop me from the foolish act, okay? :(

*Grumbles* What you want?!

I'm pooped.

One thing I hate about office jobs is paper cuts. Oh, and don't forget being poked by staple bullets. Argh.

First day was fine; I'd got over my panic attack. I even got there at 8.15am! Lol... It takes only 15mins for me to reach Somerset, and the shuttle bus from ComCentre to AIG building only takes like what, 3 minutes?

Yup, I'm working at American Home Assurance, the insurance company. The people there aren't going all out to be friendly or whatever, but they aren't half bad.

But I swear, the paperworks is going to make me permanently cross-eyed one day. The only "bad" thing about the location is that I would have to take the shuttle bus to Somerset to get food, or walk about 10minutes to the kopitiam opposite Rush to get lunch.

It's either the 10 minutes walk or bistro, japanese restaurant, bistro, bistro, restaurant. Bleah.

Anybody wanna go Madam Wong this Friday? I'll walk over and meet you there :D lol.

The reason why I'm so pooped, is that Mel and I gave the word "clingy" a whole new level of meaning. We woke up at 5.20am today for him to send me home to prepare for work, so that we could spend the night together.

Anyhoo, here's the pictures of Kailing and me on NYE. I did not bring my digicam, so we basically only took pics of us with her HP. *shrugs*

Yes, I know, I'm so goddamned chubby, even I can't stand it.

Had one of my favourite drinks at Balcony - Seabreeze. In my perception, it's really light in alcohol content, and I'd almost prided myself in staying sober during NYE, until I almost drunk myself silly on Chivas at some KTV pub later >_>.

I should have stopped playing the dice games when the others drank coke and I was the only one drinking alcohol :P.

Alright, I guess I'm gonna go catch my 40 winks now. Take care all!

Love,
Jen

Oh gawddd...

Everytime an agency gets me a job where I wouldn't have to go for an interview, I panic.

I mean, I don't remember panicking when I worked as a travel consultant, as Steven put me on ease during the interview.

Sometimes I cry when I panic. Like now. I'm starting work at American Home Assurance this Monday >_>.

Thank goodness I did not agree to working on Friday when they called me up on Thursday.

Wish me luck!

*Sob sob, I won't be able to thoroughly enjoy myself on CNY... But at least those nosy relatives will get off my back.*

Tuesday, January 03, 2006

Damnit, I'm dying for Secret Recipe's lamb stew. All I have now are tidbits and alfredo fettuccine I'm too lazy to cook.

And I'm having the bloody flu. *Sniffles* *Coughs*

Gaahhh...

I don't care about losing weight; I'm going to have my lamb stew tonight! =d

Monday, January 02, 2006

Some ramblings.

Hey, no hangover!

I have not received the photos from my friend that we took on NYE(not that there was alot, since I did not bring my digicam along) yet, so I'll just talk about other stuff for now.

I'm not sure if it's because of the new year, but my inner muse is being all melancholy and contemplative right now.

Have you ever questioned why you exist? As in took a look at yourself and pondered how it is possible?

We all walk, talk, eat, breathe and sleep. But so do the billions of people all over the world. We all possess bodies that we didn't create ourselves, but are completely capable of controlling it and taking advantage of what our bodies are able to do.

Have you ever realised that we are the lucky ones? Knowing that you have this body and what you can do?

What bewilders me is, why do most people still decide to slack off and do nothing with it?

It's common knowledge that we all have a mind of our own, ability of motion, and to a certain extent, power. Yet most just push it back to nether regions and do nothing much with their lives.

Do you really want to lie on your deathbed decades later and think, "Fuck, if only I did this and that in the past."

I don't.

It's been approximately 8 years since I decided I am capable of making decisions of my own; That I should be the one to dictate my own life.

I wasted 6 of the years; It started its irrevocable path ever since I allowed my mother to reign over me completely.

I don't believe in the existance of God, but I believe that there's kismet that placed us on this earth, and gave us intelligence, the ability to move, communicate and make decisions, while other living things aren't that fortunate.

I am one of those people who wasted away their precious time; Spending 2 decades in this world, and I've accomplished nothing. To be specific, I've accomplished none of the things that I really want, or will be really proud of.

Today is one of those days I'm grateful for the capacity of my power - The power to change my life and influence those around me.

I will be happy. I will be. I will fulfill what brings joy to me or what I want in my life, and be unswayed by society or what people think.

This has nothing to do with religion or the God-shit people sprout. This is my will, my determination. I will look back at the end of 2006, and be satisfied.

That is my new year resolution.

"You don't write because you want to say something; you write because you've got something to say."

Alcohol... Bad... Me.. Head.. Hurts...
